Trade from your wallet
Connect a Canton wallet (Console, Loop, …) and trade on Cessio without a passkey.
Cessio speaks the Canton dApp standard (CIP-0103) through PartyLayer, so a wallet in its registry that can sign a message and submit a transaction on the desk's network can trade here — where the desk enables wallet sign-in.
How it works
- Connect. Pick your wallet on the sign-in page. The wallet shares your party id and signs a one-time challenge; Cessio verifies the key derives the party and opens a session. While the desk is invite-only, a first-time wallet needs an invite: open the link from your invite email (or enter its code under “Have an invite code?” on the sign-in page), then connect.
- Trade. Requests for quotes are off-ledger; a quote is committed on-ledger as the maker's allocations. Whenever a trade needs your allocation — your quote as a maker, your side after you accept as a taker — Cessio hands your wallet the exact ledger command (with the registry's disclosed contracts); the wallet prepares, signs and submits it on its own validator. Nothing else is signed.
- Settle. The desk operator batches every allocation of the trade — both sides and its fee receipt — into one atomic settlement. Progress is read from the ledger, never from the wallet.
Balances
Your holdings live on your wallet's validator, out of the desk's sight: your browser reads them from the wallet and reports them to the desk, refreshing after every trade and wallet action rather than on a timer. Deposits and withdrawals happen in your wallet, not on the desk.
Receiving Canton Coin
A trade that pays you CC needs no transfer preapproval: your wallet signs a receipt allocation with the rest of your side, and that signature is the consent the settlement needs.
Wallets that do not appear
A wallet greyed out as Coming soon cannot trade here yet, for one of two
reasons: the PartyLayer registry does not list signMessage and
submitTransaction for it on this network, or PartyLayer drives it through its
own adapter and Cessio has not built that adapter's submit path yet — today
Loop's is the only one. Once either changes, the wallet works.
